It was an absolute pleasure to present The Charlie & Carter Foundation with a cheque today, from all of us at Marshall Hall Levy Solicitors. It is heart-warming how something special can come out of tragic circumstances and when we learned of the story behind the foundation, we just knew we had to join in and support the cause.
Sarah & Christopher Cookson found themselves caring for their sick children, Charlie and Carter, five years apart. Both suffered from life limiting conditions. Both children died young and Sarah & Christopher’s hearts would never recover. But, what is left of their broken hearts they put into driving the foundation forward. They continue to strive to support families who are facing the daily fears that they did, not once but twice.
The Charlie & Carter Foundation (CCF) provides financial support to parents of seriously ill children with life limiting conditions that require 24 hour nursing care or specialist nursing facilities. We understand how difficult life can become when you have had to reduce your working hours or in fact leave your employment as your child requires 24 hour care.
