Managing Director

Keith Turnbull has more than 40 years experience and knowledge within the legal profession. He has been Principal at Marshall Hall Levy since 2000. He has a very broad legal knowledge and experience but in recent years has focused on litigation.

He has been a keen sportsman having played cricket and rugby for Sunderland and Durham County. In addition he has held both a glider pilots licence and a private pilot’s licence. He enjoys socialising with family and friends and foreign travel.

Director / Head of Wills and Probate Department

Julie graduated from Teeside University in 2001 and Northumbria University in 2003. She has over 19 year’s experience in the legal profession. She first worked as a Paralegal before qualifying as a Solicitor in 2011. Julie has varied experience in several areas of law, having specialised in personal injury, Employment Law and more latterly in Wills and Probate.  Before joining Marshall Hall Levy, Julie set up an Employment Law Department within a successful local HR company. Since joining Marshall Hall Levy, Julie has taken over the role of Head of our Wills and Probate Department. She also provides Employment Law advice, assistance and representation to our clients and assists in the post completion side of our conveyancing department.

Outside of work, Julie is a retired ice hockey player and trampolining coach, and she still enjoys ice skating and roller skating to keep up her fitness. She also enjoys DIY and arts and crafts and has built her own kitchen and designed her own jewellery. Julie is married with 2 grown up children. She also has 3 Chihuahua’s which she loves to cuddle up with under a blanket when she gets home.

Head of conveyancing

Kimberley joined Marshall Hall Levy in September 2019 as a secretary in the conveyancing department. Kimberley has many years’ experience working in the conveyancing sector. Her role is to assist John and liase with clients. She will most often be your first point of contact and prides herself on having a good relationship with clients. 

Outside of work Kim spends her time with her 2 daughters and husband. Kim enjoys holidays, socialising with friends and reading.

Conveyancing Assistant

Joanne joined Marshall Hall Levy in May 2022 as a secretary in the conveyancing department, having worked in business administration for the past 25 years. Her role is to assist John and Kimberley and to liaise with clients.

Outside of work Joanne is working towards her BA (Honours) Business Management (Accounting). In her spare time, she enjoys days out with her family, socialising with friends and listening to music.

Accounts / Office Manager 

Natalie has worked at Marshall Hall Levy since July 2010 where she started as the secretary for the Principal. She is now in the accounts department where she manages the office and the office accounts. Natalie has had over 20 years experience working in the legal profession.

Natalie lives in Sunderland with her family. Natalie enjoys spending her time taking her children to the park and weekend trips away. She enjoys going to the cinema and socialising with friends.

Legal Assistant

Kirsty started work at Marshall Hall Levy in August 2018 and is employed as the Principal's Secretary. Kirsty has over 23 years experience working as a Legal Secretary in all different areas of Law. She now works in the Family and Matrimonial Department.

Kirsty is very family orientated and also enjoys socialising with friends. She is a keen Football Supporter, going home and away to support both Sunderland AFC and on occasions her local team, South Shields FC.

Trainee Legal Assistant

Aimie is our newest member of staff. She has taken on the role of Trainee Secretary in the Probate department having worked in the office environment since leaving school. Aimie is the first point of contact within the Probate department and will be able to provide a very compassionate and understanding approach to each clients queries. 

In her spare time she loves spending time with her family and friends. She also enjoys cooking, going on walks & anything that involves a cold Gin in her hand!

Office Administrator

Lisa has recently joined the firm to help out with our Administration. She will assist all departments. Lisa is married with two children and two cats.  She enjoy days out with her family, meeting up with friends and occasionally going to the gym.

Receptionist

Barbara trained and qualified at a teacher and worked in this capacity before leaving to have her family. She took time out in order to look after her family. Barbara joined Marshall Hall Levy as a receptionist in 2000. She is responsible for greeting clients and potential clients, answering the telephone and making diary entries and dealing with the post generally.

Barbara enjoys gardening, socialising with family and friends. She enjoys travel, music, good food and her new grandson.
